As part of my MA I am required to create blog as part of an on-going assignment. It is meant to be a place to reflect and share connections between my education, research and professional life – and a place I can express my thoughts and opinions (of which I have lots!).
The primary areas of focus will be
• instructional design• research ethics
• communities of practices
• theoretical frameworks
• choice of cultures of inquiry
• research methodologies
My passion is online learning. I believe it has the ability to reach non-traditional students and effect change in a greater capacity than any other medium. Most of what I write, do and research always comes back to that.
I also hope to discuss trends in online learning and instructional design as well as topics that effect it - like technology and the education system in Canada. This might just be a fun assignment after all!
